ALVA HOTEL BY ROYAL

The property is located in a quiet neighborhood and it’s quite a sight to watch the city at night. There is a bus from the airport that leaves you at the entrance of the hotel. Hotel has a shuttle to the nearest metro station which made trips to Kowloon very convenient. As a designer I really appreciated the simple clean yet functional design of the room, spacious by HK standards. The air quality was reasonably good as this is something we can hardly gauge from photos. Their commitment to sustainability is evident from the water fountain installed on each floor, the way cutlery/ towels/ mini bar items are made available. Honestly this was the most fuss free hotel experience I have had. Loved the view towards the river though this wasn’t an option I had chosen while booking. Hope the rooms remain as clean with good air quality in the years to come. Thanks for this experience!

I really enjoyed my stay in ALVA. The location is convenient and surrounded by greenery, a calm spot away from the buzzing city centre. Although it is a bit further away from the centre, it is very close to the station and easily can get into town within half an hour. The staff in ALVA are friendly and welcoming. I also really like the simplicity of the hotel, not overly, unnecessarily grand, instead it is cosy, warm and has a home feel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

We got greeted very nicely as soon as we got off the taxi. Leading to a big spacious lobby with high ceiling. Beautiful and clean hotel. The staff was really nice and everything went very smooth without much trouble. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very nice aswell. The bar upstair had some interesting drinks aswell. Its pretty easy to take a bus to town or walk 15 min to a train station. There is also a 7 eleven in the building, making is very easy to buy drinks and snacks.

The location is convenient: a few mins walk to Shek Mun or City One train station and A41 bus to and from the airport. The hotel even offers shuttle bus services to Shek Mun Train station, Sha Tin New Town Plaza and back. The top floor swimming pool is not busy and the view is good. Gym facilities are clean and well maintained. The room is cosy, clean and of good size. There's a convenient store downstairs open until 11 pm, not 24 hours but it's good enough. We made use of the bicycle borrowing service and went cycling on the excellent cycling track network in Sha Tin, Ma On Shan, Science Park. There's self service laundry service at the hotel, HKD40 for washing HKD40 for tumble drying, which is comparable to stores outside. I used it twice and both times I didn't have to wait. There's a bottle filling machine on each floor which is handy as I didn't have to boil water for drinking.

We stayed for 5 days and 4 nights...Awesome staffs specially the guy with glasses in Concierge, he's so approachable and helpfull... Easy check in and check out.. Free shuttle service to City One Station makes our transpo. comfortable... Love the breakfast... Spacious room makes us feel at home... Everyday they clean our room and refill the supplies... Definitely I'll stay again with Alva Hotel the next time...
